Anna Notara Koutroumpaki wins the UNESCO's Design Competition

The winning entry of DESIGN 21’s Languages Matter! competition was chosen by UNESCO judges: Daniel Prado, director of Terminology and Language Industries in Argentina, and Adama Samassékou, secretary general of the African Academy of Languages in Mali. After reviewing all the entries, they selected Communication Designer Anna Notara Koutroumpaki from Greece for her “Mother Language Must Live” design. “This poster is readable by all world cultures,” notes UNESCO. It was chosen because “the public will recognize the author’s intention to put at the same level the different peoples and thus the variety of their languages.”
